Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers to the questions homeowners ask most.
What is a whole house water filtration system?
A whole house filtration system treats the water entering your home from the main water line, helping to reduce common impurities and deliver filtered water to every faucet, shower, and appliance throughout the home.
What are the benefits of a whole house water filtration system?
Whole house filtration can improve water quality throughout your home, reduce sediment and chlorine taste, and help protect plumbing and appliances from the effects of hard minerals. Many homeowners also notice a difference in how their water tastes and feels.
What types of contaminants can a whole house system help reduce?
Depending on the system and configuration selected, filtration can help reduce sediment, chlorine, odors, and other common particulates found in household tap water. During your free consultation, a pHountain specialist will help identify what is present in your specific water supply.
How often do I need to replace the filters?
pHountain's whole house filtration systems are designed for long-term use with minimal maintenance. Unlike standard pitcher or under-sink filters, our systems do not require routine cartridge replacements, making them a practical and cost-effective solution.
Can a whole house system be installed in any home?
Whole house systems are compatible with most residential plumbing setups. We recommend a free in-home consultation so a qualified specialist can assess your plumbing and water conditions and recommend the right system for your needs.
Do you service Long Island and the Tri-State area?
